Black Desert Online to be released in China, no localized content
It was revealed 2 weeks ago that Snail Games would be the Publisher for Black Desert Online in China. Based on the interview published by MMO Culture, PearlAbyss said that aside for the possibilities of tweaking the costumes to conform with China’s censorship policy, there will be no localized content planned for the time being.
This is to ensure that players across the global will be able to enjoy similar content and can easily gain access to future updates. However, it was hinted that there might be a unique costume, but this has not been confirmed yet.
Black Desert is currently serviced as a global project, with the various versions very close to each other. This is to allow gamers from everywhere to enjoy the latest updated content. Hence, there are currently no plans to develop unique content for the China server. But we will discuss plans with Snail Games, and perhaps there will be a unique costume, but that is not yet confirmed.
