Final Fantasy XIV hits 10 million players

Final Fantasy has achieved the 10 million players milestone, announced Square Enix recently. This comes after recent release of the highly acclaimed Stormblood which adds two new playable jobs, an increased level cap, and new storyline that allows players to explore new location. The game’s frequent and robust content updates are just some of the reasons credited to the thriving subscriber base.

The announcement of the milestone achievement also coincides with the latest Patch 4.06 that brings about some fixes as well as the annual Moonfire Faire seasonal event, in which players can take part in an all-new series of quests, including facing off against Ultros. During the event, players can obtain the dyeable Faire version of a popular set of equipment. One of the notable fix in Patch 4.06 include removing the automatic logout function, but Square Enix does not discount the possibilities of re-enabling the function in the event of server congestion.
