Overwatch’s Orisa Will Remain In PTR For Now
Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan posted on the game’s forum to inform players that the Overwatch latest hero, Orisa, will remain on the Public Test Region for further trials.
We’re leaving Orisa on the PTR for a little while. We’re getting great feedback and fixing a lot of issues. I know this feels a little longer than other PTR periods, but we think it will be for the better. We know how anxious you all are to have Orisa join your ranks… and she will soon… but most likely she will go live later in the month rather than this early.
Fans had expected the 24th Overwatch hero to be available later this week after Blizzard made some changes to Orisa’s abilities few days after she was first revealed.
A recent PTR patch this week altered the mechano tankbot and other heroes, which suggests the developer continues to be searching for the appropriate balance for the character. Orisa’s ‘Supercharger’ ultimate now comes with higher cost and her automatic projectile cannon ‘Fusion Driver’ magazine size is reduced from 200 to 150.
